The latest Ebola outbreak in West Africa has claimed thousands of lives. In response, We Own TV, an NGO that trains people in Sierra Leone to create media, has launched a "Fighting Ebola with Film" series. WeOwnTV filmmakers Banker White and Anna Fitch met with SPARQ to discuss a wide range of social scientific questions that have arisen during this campaign, including: How do you promote trust in medicine, government, and other formal institutions among people who have had so many negative experiences with formal institutions? and, how do you heighten awareness about Ebola without inciting hysteria? Check out WeOwnTV's films on YouTube.
