Eberhardt Named to TIME's 2026 'The Closers'
TIME named Co-Director Jennifer Eberhardt to the 2026 list of 'The Closers,' recognizing 18 extraordinary leaders working to close racial equity gaps and create a better future across arts, academia, sports, health, philanthropy, and more—in their local communities and nationwide.
Eberhardt's work uses AI to analyze police body-worn camera footage at scale. As she explains, "With an analysis of body-worn-camera footage, we could now do this at scale in a way that we couldn't before. We're able to offer information to police departments and community members around the country about what's happening generally, not one by one." On the potential impact of this work, Eberhardt says, "I believe that the kind of tools we're building give us the best chance we've had in a long time to start repairing those relationships—making real, effective change—and bringing us closer to the outcome that we all want to see."
